A little about me...

Catherine trained at the Guildford School of Acting where she specialised in Musical Theatre and earned her B.A.(Hons).  She began her career first as a Bluecoat at Pontin’s in Devon then as Entertainments Co-Ordinator for Thomson Holidays in Tenerife.  Later, whilst dancing on a large scale touring circus in Mexico, she met her husband, Chico Rico the Clown! She has since taken on a variety of Big Top roles in shows including Ring Mistress, Magician’s Assistant, Aerialist and Choreographer.  She has worked both abroad and in the U.K. in many productions including Blackpool Tower Circus and Billy Smart’s.  Her three daughters are also performers and the family have appeared together at numerous events. Catherine has also worked extensively within education, teaching foreign languages and circus skills in schools.

Victoria Bishop

Victoria Bishop teaches a variety of dance styles and is also the Minis teacher. She has danced alongside numerous artistes in a variety of stage and TV productions. Her credits to date include Joe Pasquale's Rent a Ghost; the X Factor Arena Party with Chico, Alesha Dixon and Shayne Ward; Alan Carr's Fantasy Ball; BBC1’s The Voice with Leanne Mitchell and on board the MSC Magnifica. She has played Madame Thenadier in Les Miserables and Debbie Reynolds in Singing in the Rain with the Potters Theatre Company and has also appeared as Cinderella and the Wicked Queen in Snow White. Victoria particularly enjoys choreographing original and challenging routines for the Razz Rayleigh shows.

Colette

Colette is the vocal coach at Razzamataz. She has taught many well-known bands and artistes such as Portishead, Lisa Stansfield and Billie Piper. She is also an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician who over the last 30 years has worked both in the recording studio and on stage with numerous artistes including Pet Shop Boys.  A number of years have been spent perfecting song writing, studying studio engineering, developing her singing skills and expanding teaching methods as a vocal tutor. Colette loves working with children and seeing the progress that is made as their confidence grows.

Antonia Best

Acting at Razzamataz Rayleigh is taught by Antonia Best who holds a first class degree in drama and performance. Antonia has had many years of experience in theatre and from an early age performed in numerous productions including big musicals such as Chicago and Bugsy Malone. She also appeared in many music talent competitions in theatres and local festivals before going on to perform in a number of theatre based companies in Essex, where plays included Alice in Wonderland and The Jungle Book. It was whilst working on these productions that she became particularly interested in directing which is when her journey into teaching began. Antonia is also a primary school learning assistant and tutors young adults in guitar and the ukulele!
